HLTAID009 – PROVIDE CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION – CPR

The Vative Healthcare provide CPR or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation provides students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. 

Upon successful completion of training and assessment you will receive a Statement of Attainment  HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Vative Healthcare’s Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course will provide attendees the knowledge and skills required to provide CPR in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Recognition: Australian Nationally Recognised Training
On Completion: Students get a Statement of Attainment HLTAID009 provide CPR – valid for 1 year
Course Duration: 3 hours face to face training
Assessment: written and practical assessments completed during training

HLTAID011 – PROVIDE FIRST AID (INCLUDING CPR)

The Vative Healthcare HLTAID011 provide First Aid course which includes CPR.  This training course covers the fundamental principles, knowledge and skills required to provide First Aid response to a casualty. Students will learn to confidently assess emergency situations and provide effective First Aid response in emergencies in the community or workplace. 

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The course covers First Aid response procedures for a wide range of medical illness, allergic reactions, minor injuries, trauma and lifesaving treatments.
The main topics covered in the course are:

  • Ability to respond to an emergency situation
  • Apply appropriate first aid procedures
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines      
  • Communicate details of the incident
  • Duty of care, completing Incident Reports
  • Evaluate the incident and own performance
  • DrowningLegal Issues
  • Infection control
  • Anaphylaxis Awareness – EpiPen Training
  • Asthma Awareness
  • Head & Spinal Injury
  • Seizure
  • Burns

Dual Qualification Diploma of Leadership & Management and Diploma of Competitive Systems Practices

This dual Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420) and Diploma of Competitive Systems and Practices (MSS50316) provides staff with a realistic, robust and powerful course, to enable them to meet the demands of today’s Healthcare environment. This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in
leadership and management across a range of healthcare settings, including Aged Care, Disabilities and Community.

This course will provide the skills and knowledge required by a manager or supervisor to determine strategy for implementing change management and problem solving skills together with skills needed to improve efficiency in an organisation.

Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational requirements.

  • Payment Options: Skills First funding available for eligible students (criteria apply, please contact us for more details) or $13,940 for non- funded students

This course gives opportunity for students to obtain Continuing Professional Development CPD points throughout the program.

Diploma of Leadership & Management
